THE J & S FOUNDATION'S MARCH MADNESS

Welcome to The J & S Foundation's Seventh Annual March Madness Contest. March Madness 2006 marks the first of four contests in The J & S Foundation's Contests of Champions.

As with all four contests in the Contests of Champions, March Madness 2006 is open to the public.

The NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament begins on Tuesday, March 14th with the opening round game or play-in game between tournament seeds # 64 vs. # 65. This game is not included in the March Madness 2006 contest. March Madness 2006 begins with the first round games starting on Thursday, March 16th. However, if you decide to select the winner of the play-in game to advance past the number one seed in the first round, please write play-in winner on your bracket. March Madness 2006 concludes with the national championship game on Monday, April 3rd.

For the seventh consecutive year, The J & S Foundation's March Madness official tournament bracket can be found at cbs.sportsline.com. Please use this bracket for your official entry form. Place your name and phone number in the upper right corner if mailing or faxing your bracket. This year we have also added the option of filling out your bracket online @ http://jands.mayhem.sportsline.com. All brackets submitted manually will be added to the website and everyone will be able to get updates on standings from the site throughout the tournament.

Contest Format

The NCAA tournament consists of six rounds and 63 games, not including the play-in game. For each game in which you correctly predict the winner, you will receive a corresponding point value associated with that particular round of the tournament. The point values are as follows:

1st round win = 1 point

2nd round win = 2 points

3rd round win = 4 points

4th round win = 6 points

5th round win = 8 points

6th round win = 10 points

March Madness 2006 consists of 146 total points. The participant with the closest combined point total to 146 points will be declared the champion. If, after the NCAA championship game, two or more participants are tied with identical point totals, the participant closest to the combined score, either over or under, of the championship game, will be declared the champion. The winner's score will be the second tiebreaker and the loser's score will be the third tiebreaker.

Total prize money will be determined by the number of entries. Only the champion will receive prize money.
